Cell Project Concepts and Illustrations

Residing in a man named Dustin is a deteriorating world of consciousness. The occupants have no sense of character and wander aimlessly until they gradually fade. This world is Dustin's brain, the occupants are Neurons, and Dustin suffers from a coma induced injury to his Central Nervous System. When in a coma of this magnitude, it is nearly impossible for sounds and interactions to be picked up, unless there is habitability. One day there is a reverberation that penetrates the walls of Dustin's tightly wound mind. The sound had a desolate familiarity and is received by one of the slowly decaying Neurons. This causes rebirth in the cell. It is restored to its original form but does not recall anything. Throughout the story the cell tries to figure out what has happened to the world around it.
